may mission month




this year the youth are getting involved in may mission month in a completely different way.

instead of door knocking and raiding parents for donations a new project is under way to empower the youth to actively participate in may mission month.

this may the youth life groups will be working together to come up with ideas to raise money for a project gymea baptist church is supporting.  each life group will be given some cash to work together to multiply the money and donate the final amount they raise to one of the projects!

it's going to be an awesome and exciting time for the youth and we hope you can join in with the excitement!

what happened last year?

a quick update on where each life group is at and what they are doing!

younger girls life group are getting their creativity on and making a whole bunch of things to sell at the next Caringbah Arts Fair.

the older girls life group are also heading to the next Caringbah Arts Fair and will be the items they have been making like ... bracelets, clothing, pictures and many other things at a stall then moving on to do other things after sunday

the guys life group are organising what has come to be called Frothathon '09!  the guys will be surfing a full working day (9am to 5pm) and will be getting sponsorship from family and friends per hour they surf

all things are full steam ahead and going well for each of the life groups!!!
